Visited February 2013 – a great place to checkout

This museum at the time of my visit had several galleries with artworks;  including ‘The Wonder and Loss of Familiar Places’ – an interesting display of artworks by Tim Croucher (NZ) and Xu Ze China) the result of a cultural exchange with works for sale.

The Lynley Dodd retrospective was a must for anyone wanting to see original works behind the Hairy Maclary tales.

White Cloud Worlds was an exciting display of works which display the visually rich worlds and imaginings brought to life by 25 of New Zealand’s scifi and fantasy illustrators, designers and conceptual artists.  Beautiful and intricate artworks which jump start your imagination – highly recommended if this exhibition comes to your area.
