A visit to Kuranda from Cairns is an enjoyable day out with many arts and crafts as well as the tourist centres, butterfly sanctuary, rainforest walks, bird world and many restaurants.  Terra Nova Gallery has a wide selection of giftware and artworks with one particular bark painting taking my interest.  Bark paintings are an Australian Aboriginal art form showing a large range of art styles.
