Put aside plenty of time if visiting the portrait painting exhibition at the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery corner Durham and Flinders Street in Townsville.  The 2016 Glencore Percival Portrait Painting Prize is a biennial prize and is North Queensland’s own portrait competition.

Thanks to the generosity of Glencore and other sponsors over the years, the Prize has steadily grown to the current major acquisitive prize of $40,000. The 2016 Glencore Percival Portrait Painting Prize exhibition is a showcase of both established and emerging artists with a diverse range of portraits, with a multitude of styles and mediums displayed across two levels of Perc Tucker Regional Gallery.  The range of portraits was spectacular.

Congratulations to Lisa Adams as the winner of the 2016 Glencore Percival Portrait Painting Prize.
