One of the well known Gallery’s in New Zealand is the Sarjeant Gallery in Whanganui which is undergoing redevelopment that will ‘look after the Sarjeant’s nationally-important collection with environmentally-controlled storage and exhibition galleries; enhance public access through improved exhibition and education spaces; and enable the preservation of Whanganui’s most iconic building’.

This is an outstanding collection and was worth taking time to look at all the works during the time in March that I was there.
