A recent search in Brisbane for art galleries was less than encouraging until we visited the Woolloongabba art gallery at 613 Stanley Street.  Director Alex Shaw was articulate and informative about the works on display and the artists exhibitions.  This gallery gives opportunities to local artists, national artists as well as renting rooms for display while maintaining a certain level of professionalism from the artists.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable time spent discussing art and australian art in particular.

The current exhibition ‘Warlukurlangu artists of Yuendumu’ was colourful and varied in its artwork.
