A recent visit to Palmerston North and its various galleries produced a surprising quality of artwork and I was lucky enough to be there during the collection of digitally remastered and life size paintings of Rembrandt van Rijn.  57 paintings and some great information about the works shown in Te Manawa art science history  exhibition centre.

The painter’s display of light and shade is shown well in his self portrait shown here.  The captions held lots of great information about the original artworks and what had happened to them over the years.  This was a memorable display which ends on 25th April 2017.
