Peter was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1953. He was educated at Auckland Boys Grammar, and in 1971-72 trained as a Graphic Artist at Auckland Technical Institute.
Painting professionally since 1973, he has exhibited in many New Zealand centres, and at present is selling in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, where he enjoys the challenge of painting a totally different landscape.
Peter is mainly self taught and is a dedicated traditional Artist. His distinct style has been described as clean, crisp and strong. Painting mainly in Oils, but enjoying working in pencil, chalk pastel and gouache as well, he specialises in landscape and coastal scenes.
Peter is an exhibiting member of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Wellington. He now lives and works from his Studio in Tauranga.
