Blue / Gold Shift

Blue / Gold Shift (Round on Square) is a 1m x 1m artwork in acrylic mediums by Bay of Plenty artist Graham Crow cannot be understood from the photograph. As its title suggests, it is best viewed moving / shifting from right to left or vice versa.
I placed this artwork on a wall which forms part of a hall so that it is seen as a different artwork every time you walk past it.
Simply put – at one point the inner circle will be gold and the outer square area is blue – and this changes to the opposite as you move past the artwork. Being 1m x 1m means that this work can be hung either side – essentially 4 different artworks in one. This is an exceptional piece of modern artwork – something I did not envisage having on the wall but now absolutely enjoy.
