Pensive Moments

My favourite work purchased from Elder Fine Art Auction house in Adelaide, Australia. Part of ‘the sisters’ series i believe.  Shows two women heads with paint paletted in bright colours and beautifully framed. I find this has a little bit of a Mona Lisa quality – the faces in it reflect my mood of the day – sometimes it looks as though they are sad, sometime happy, sometime reflective.  By the title it is obvious the reflective attitude is intended by the artist but the painting actually seems to reflect the mood of the viewer as well.
